6 Days (2 days horse riding) traveling in Mongolia
The statue in total is 40m high from surface erected at about 10 m high foundation and surrounded by columns. Far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand. Recreation area, restaurants and souvenir shops will be located in the column surrounded base of the Statue and from here visitors will ascend to the exhibition hall using elevator at the back of the horse. The visitors will walk to the head of the horse through chest and back neck of the horse, where they can have farseeing and good panorama view over the complex area.
Day 1.
- Arrival in Ulaanbaatar(UB) 10.35 A.m. The guide will meet the group at the Airport. Quick introductory meeting, breakfast in the city. The instructor will check gear, health make sure the group is prepared and packed property.
- 12.30- Once ready, drive via Terelj-national Park, visit Turtle rock (70 km)
- 15.00- Lunch at tourist camp “Tamir” in Terelj.
- Continue drive Mongon Morit to “Khan Kherlen” camp (240 km). In route, we will stop, to observe the High Statue of “Chinggis Khaan”
- Supper and overnight at tourist camp.
Day 2.
- Breakfast at the camp
- Drive to Bayangol valley of Hentii mountains. Visit historical sites: Braibung monastery and other sites related to Chinggis Khaan (190 km)
- Lunch. 2 hours, on horseback on the way
- Dinner. Overnight at the local ger camp.
Day 3.
- Breakfast at the camp.
- Drive to Khodoo Aral (160 km) where Chinggis Khaan was honored a title.
- Enjoy nature beauty of the surrounding grasslands.
- Lunch on the way.
- Continue driving to the tourist camp “Steppe Nomads”-(160 km). The camp located in the middle of the way to UB.
- Dinner of tourist camp and overnight in ger of base camp.
Day 4.
- Breakfast at the camp
- 11.00 horse riding
- 13.00 Lunch in the valley of the Kherlen river
- 14.00-17.00 horse riding
- 19.00 dinner.
Day 5.
- Breakfast at the camp
- 11.00 horse riding
- 13.00 lunch in the valley of the Kherlen river.
- 14.00-17.00 horse riding
- 19.00 dinner.
( This 2 days we will try to stay mainly on the horse, about 15-40km each day. The ride takes place in the valley of the Kherlen river.
The site has been attracting people and wild life for centuries. It is believed that the valley was the place where young Great Khan Temujin became the Chinggis Khaan after the crowning ceremony. There is a landmark symbolizing the event. The site became particularly popular after it was chosen for filming the final scene in the historical story called “The secret history of the Mongolia”. There is definitely some kind of enigmatic power in the air there, and it is made of very simple ingredients – river, sky,sun and Bayan Ulaan mountains. The valley is also a great place to enjoy the wilderness. You will most likely run into Gazelle, Reindeer, Takhi horse, Marmot. Overnight at the local ger camp.)
Day 6.
- Breakfast. Drive to UB.
